Turn Vegetable Oils, Yellow Grease, Used Cooking Oils and Animal Fats Into Biodesel
TURN VEGETABLE OILS, YELLOW GREASE, USED COOKING OILS AND
ANIMAL FATS INTO BIODIESEL
Biodiesel is
produced from vegetable oils, yellow grease, used cooking oils, or animal fats.
The production process, called esterification,
converts oils or fats into chemicals called long-chain mono alkyl esters. When
the alkyl chain alcohol is methanol (most common), these are called fatty acid
methyl esters, or FAME. When FAME is used for fuel, it is commonly referred to
as biodiesel.
The Argent Energy is one of the leading company in UK
which produces Biodesiel,
Jim Walker, CBE Managing Director says, “We specialise in supplying high grade,
sustainable diesel that gives hefty carbon savings”
Argent Energy currently accepts and processes the
following types of raw materials;
This non toxic and biodegradable fuel can be blended
with mineral diesel to create a biodiesel blend containing up to 7% biodiesel
in accordance with EN590 that can be used in unmodified diesel engines.
